At Dareto Foundation, we believe that meaningful change begins when people from different cultures come together with a shared purpose. Today, we are excited to introduce the Dareto Foundation Initiative: Global Volunteer Program, an opportunity for international volunteers to contribute their skills, exchange cultures, and create lasting impact in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
Why We Started This Initiative
Indonesia is home to incredible cultural diversity, resilient communities, and young people with tremendous potential. However, many communities, especially in Eastern Indonesia, continue to face challenges in accessing quality educational opportunities and global exposure.
The Dareto Global Volunteer Program was created to bridge this gap. By welcoming volunteers from around the world, we hope to foster mutual learning where volunteers not only share their knowledge and experiences but also gain valuable insights into Indonesian culture, community development, and local perspectives.
This initiative is built on a simple belief:
Real impact happens when communities learn from each other, not just for each other.
What Volunteers Will Do
Depending on their background, interests, and the needs of the community, volunteers may contribute through:
Teaching English to children, teenagers, and adults
Supporting youth leadership and empowerment programs
Participating in community service projects
Sharing professional knowledge through workshops or seminars
Promoting cross-cultural exchange between local and international communities
No two volunteer experiences are exactly the same. Every placement is designed to create meaningful learning experiences for both volunteers and the local community.
